Job Description
The Manager, Sourcing, will work with design, tech design, merchants to understand requirements to place product production with approved factories. Negotiate costs, quality, delivery with approved factories working closely with IBO offices. Interact with all necessary departments to deliver quality products to stores meeting/exceeding all QA requirements, within merchant buying organization.
Job Requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop and select approved factories to place product production
• Work with PDS / product design to develop quality products – yarn, construction, trim , styling
• Work with PDS/technical design to ensure proper spec and construction is used for development
• Work with merchants to ensure we execute acceptable cost and delivery of products
• Negotiate production / cost of products with approved factories to execute approved quality, cost and on time delivery
• Monitor Production – communicate with IBO’s - to ensure quality and on time delivery is maintained.
• Maintain All sample requirements working with IBO and PDS teams
• Travel to HK IBO and Factories when directedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experinece in a Sourcing role.
• Experience in soft home a plus
• Recommend to have previous product development / production experience
• Must have previous cost negotiation experience
• Must have effective communication skill – written and verbal
• Must have attention to detail and sense of urgency skills
• Must be able to travel, including international trips
