Department Manager – Retail Distribution Center

Yakima, WA area

Thomas Arn Solutions has an immediate opening for a Retail Distribution Center Department Manager in the Yakima, WA area.  The Department Manager is responsible for the motivation, training, and leadership of a distribution center production workforce from 50 to in excess of 200 people, including front line supervisory personnel. The Department Manager develops and executes daily and weekly operational plans to meet and exceed customer service requirements, while maximizing quality, safety, and productivity throughout the facility.

• Execute daily production plans while achieving maximum operating efficiency.
• Develop and implement short and long-range staffing plans based on productivity objectives and forecasted volume requirements.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain effective shift management team.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed, and that equipment and work areas are neat, clean and well organized.

Job Requirements 

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Distribution Center operational management experience.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree a plus!
• Able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of overall departmental work flow.
• Able to work a flexible schedule which includes nights and/or weekends.
