Underwriter (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Description
We have 3 contract-to-hire openings for a company in south Orlando that has over 1,600 branches in the southeast and over $170 billion in total assets. You must have 2-3 years of frontline underwriting experience working on Fannie Mae files and possess a great personality over the phone.Responsibilities:•Take ownership of call issues and see them through until resolution.
•Field calls from Loan Officers, processors, closers and other underwriters.
•Field pipeline questions for all loans in progress.
•Pipeline will consist of 5 - 10 loans per day.
•Underwrite mortgage loans for high net worth individuals.
•Identify potential risks and mitigating factors that could impact the customer's ability to repay the loan.
•Analyze business/consumer financial statements, individual credit reports and calculate cash flow.
•Responsible for mortgage loans of complex nature including conventional, FHA and VA, bond/housing authority, and non-conforming loans.
Requirements
-MUST HAVE background/experience specific to Fannie Mae.
•Bachelor's Degree
