Description
Volt Information Sciences, Inc. has an immediate need for a Loss Control Consultant based out of our corporate office in Orange, CA. In this position, the Loss Control Consultant provides advice and consultation to all divisions of Volt in the area of Safety, Loss Control, Risk Assessment and Loss Prevention. Specifically, the Loss Control Consultant will provide detailed analysis of the facts surrounding incidents created by accidental injury or illness, as well as make recommendations to corporate and field management regarding proactive measures to minimize reoccurrence. This includes providing in depth reports with details of incidents and the contributing factors such as unsafe acts and processes. In addition, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of loss control training programs including Accident and Injury Prevention, Fire Safety, Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene among others. This position requires significant field interaction on a national level including overnight travel from 30% - 50%.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will have relevant experience in Loss Control and Risk Management within a large multi-unit safety environment. Knowledge of State and Federal environmental, health and hazardous materials codes and regulations is required. Familiarization with Workers Compensation statutes is necessary as well as risk assessments related to General Liability. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed in order to provide Industry Standard Performance metrics associated with safety and loss control. This includes critical thinking, creativity, multi-tasking and attention to detail with a positive, client-driven, customer service attitude. Intermediate level skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is also required as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline. Previous Law Enforcement or Military experience is highly desired.
