Volt Workforce Solutions has a temporary position available in Eugene, OR for an Accounting Clerk.
JOB PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this Accounting Clerk position is to:
- Process and analyze the cash/payment applications, claims processing, and collections associated with accounts utilizing existing procedures and guidelines.
- Focus on providing Customer Service, Problem Resolution, and Policy Audit and Compliance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Application of cash receipts and/or invoice/expenses is according to established Company policies. (30%)
- Identify and resolve basic issues of working with a variety of business partners. (20%)
- Manage a portfolio of internal/external customers to ensure compliant processing within established time thresholds. (35%)
- Identify, plan and execute solutions to issues while driving compliance to Company policies. (5%)
- Participate with the team on specific assignments and team meetings, as well as contribute to scorecard metrics. (5%)
- Provide support for Operational Reporting and Analysis. (5%)

This position requires a moderate level of independence in order to fulfill responsibilities. The Manager is to provide guidance for difficult issues.
The Accounting Clerk:
- Will refer to established procedures or practices for routine tasks.
- Must have the ability to research and gather documentation on routine issues.
- Must also be able to effectively communicate with:
- Customers and other departments in order to identify problems
- The Manager or Supervisor in order to develop solutions
- Manages assigned accounts on an ongoing basis in order to safeguard Company assets.

This is an estimated 1-3 month contingent/temporary position in Eugene, OR, through Volt Workforce Solutions located in Portland, OR. Requirements
Required Skills for this Accounting Clerk position include the following:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of Accounting experience
- Competency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must possess Systems knowledge of SAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong Customer Service skills
- Must understand and adhere to proper protocols for the handling of sensitive information
