Description
An IT Asset Management Specialist identifies and manages appropriate assets based on requirements, determines the overall suitability and health of assets, and provides advice concerning asset lifecycle transitions and ongoing management. They also assist with tracking and managing of escalations and issues through to resolution from business units/organizations; and assist in the management and maintaining of the IT asset management processes, including the IT Asset Lifecycle Process.In addition the Asset Management Specialist for Contracts and Leasing is responsible for the contracts and leasing functions within the Hardware Asset Management team as follows:

Responsibilities
•Manage hardware asset and support contracts in the asset management system
•Manage hardware leases in the asset management system
•SME for Hardware Asset Contracts and Leases
•Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for other teams within the company and to our vendors regarding hardware asset information.
•Ensure accuracy of leasing, hardware asset and support contracts and data
•Be the liaison to the hardware vendors for the hardware asset management team
•Works with the Fixed Asset team to ensure we have appropriate data for the fixed assets in the IT asset management system.
•Has joint responsibility for quality and efficiency of problem resolution where Hardware Asset Management expertise is required
•Interfaces with other Systems Management process teams/managers as required with respect to asset data
•Assist with gathering, tracking and reporting on the required data elements for IT assets
•Reviews inventory (physical and automated) for variances with Asset Mgmt database records and resolves
•Analyzes hardware data quality and makes recommendations to improve data quality
•Identifies areas of process improvement
•Reports on and takes appropriate action with respect to ‘missing’ assets or data
•Assist with hardware asset data inquires and escalations
•Assists with asset and process questions from our Sears Holdings India team
•Assist in the management and maintaining of the hardware IT asset management processes, including the IT Asset Lifecycle Process.Skills
•Excellent understanding of Asset Management process, policies, procedures and tools
•Good knowledge of all supporting technology for IT Asset Management
•Proficient with Microsoft Excel
•Knowledge and experience with service level commitments
•Ability to recognize and analyze trends
•Ability to perform analysis and apply results to process improvement
•Ability to follow procedures and identify when changes are required
•Good oral and written communication skills
•Good conflict management skills
•Good cost analyst skills
•Ability to monitor and manage progress of tasks

•Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
•5+ years in IT Hardware Asset Management
•Experience with an enterprise asset management system
•Experience analysing and providing cost savings information
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Contract Management
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Leasing
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Audits
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Vendor Management
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Issue Resolution and Escalation Management
•Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with IT Financials
•Minimum of 1 year experience in Retail
•ITIL v3 Foundations education
