Our client, located in the northwest suburbs is looking for a detail-oriented, ambitious Cost Accounting Manager for their plant. It is a global company and the opportunity for growth is evident. They are looking for someone who desires to move up in the organization into a possible Controller role.
They have excellent benefits, which includes tuition reimbursement, 8am ? 5pm work day with rarely any overtime, business casual environment and more!
The position will pay a salary + 10% bonus and will report directly to the Controller.
No supervisory experience is required because there will be no direct reports at this time.
- Back up to the Controller
- Must have Standard Cost Accounting experience
- Needs to have an ability to problem solve, work independently, multi-tasking
- Needs to have financial and variance reporting experience
- BA or BS degree with major in Accounting (or related business major) from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 5-7 years experience with at least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Thorough understanding of BPCS and JDE or equivalent fully integrated manufacturing software system.
- Thorough working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency with computer spreadsheet and database software in Windows environment - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, analytic skills, and math skills; ability to explain financial information to a non-financial audience.
- Strong problem solving abilities are key
- Ability to work independently and grasp concepts quickly
- Willingness for future relocation is a plus.
