Job Description
The Manager, Content Experience should be a thought leader in content in providing comprehensive solutions to our internal clients, and provide exceptional solutions to meet our customers’ needs and growing our relationship with them. •Leading the strategy, content development, and overall planning for multiple website project efforts on behalf of our clients
•This position will work collaboratively with a variety of professionals to develop the right look, feel, and content for web projects.
•The ideal candidate for this position has outstanding communications skills and excellent working knowledge of website production as well as content strategy / management techniques.
• As part of this role, you will be responsible for creating and documenting business and functional requirements related to site development, based on customer needs, and working in concert with the business, product and engineering team.
•You must have a proactive work ethic, be able to anticipate and solve problems before they occur, and be committed to delivering quality results.
•Supports all Online Business Unit websites including, but not limited to, Sears.com, Kmart.com, MyGofer.com, ManageMyLife, Kenmore.com, Craftsman.com, and International offerings.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities
•Manage a group of Content Analysts and provide quality control of individual content analyst deliverables
•Work closely with content director to plan content experience team direction and prioritization
•Define content metrics and measure the value of good content
•Serve as a web content Strategist and develop content brief for new web experience
•Conduct content audit, inventory, analysis and develop content matrix
•Identify content gaps and develop content resource plan and acquisition plan
•Helps guide the content creation, maintenance, management and governance of ecommerce content
•Serve as a domain expert on various types of content, such as product data, images, videos, UGC, etc.
•Identify content enrichment opportunities based on customer feedback and in conjunction marketing /promotion and other business events
•Define content metrics and measure the value of good content
•"Research and report on relevant industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for new or improved online experiences
•Guide the optimization of all online content ensuring: consistency in style and tone, relevancy for target audience, and adherence with product and image guidelines
•Identify third party content sources and solutions to enrich sears ecommerce content
•Create a search optimization plan for contentExperience/Education Requirements
•5 years experience with web content analysis methodologies, strategy development and content modeling
•3-5 years experience with content management process and systems
•Strong presentation and data analytic skills
•Excellent communication, organization, time management and analytical/problem solving skills are required, along with a high degree of flexibility
•Solid management experience and track record in motivating and building strong teams
•Experience enabling strong interdepartmental relationships
•Exceptional communication and organizational skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
