Job Description
The Vendor Manager develops and manages new and ongoing relationships with our Partners and/or suppliers to ensure delivery of key objectives and optimal effectiveness, working with key stakeholder functions as appropriate. The individual is not expected to undertake any line management responsibilities.
The individual will be responsible for a blend of Partnership Management roles and Vendor Management roles...
• Partnership Management functions: Plan and support for part or all of a key partner(s)/supplier(s) the achievement of our revenue, cost, innovation, customer satisfaction and quality objectives/targets, in line with our partnership strategy.
• Vendor Management functions: Plan and support for the service delivery and our management relationship for one or more contracts of our medium or large and strategically important third-party suppliers. Individual may also support a number of projects that deliver improved and effective working practices & processes that we use to manage and work with its strategic suppliers.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Closely work with Business Development on new partner responsibilities.
• Drive actions/itmes as needed to Engineering and/or Solution Integration
• Drive cross-functional communication between the various organizations as needed ( Product roadmap alignment, product support to TAC, etc)
• Resolve and/or mediate conflicts/issues that arise with product delays, support issues, invoicing
Job Requirements
Skills and Educational Requirements:
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Engineering Discipline
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES:
• Technical background and some business development/account management experience, coupled with the ability to build and maintain very effective partner relationships.
• Proactive and able to multi-task / prioritise appropriately
• Good business acumen in low-medium complexity scenarios
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Good relationship building skills
• Team orientated, with a flexible approach
• Good communication skills and an ability to distill information into essential messages
• Hands-on, self-directed executive who plans, prepares and executes professionally
• Ability to work well with limited supervision and with limited resources
• Experience with Salesforce.com
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in a partner management, vendor management and/or sales related role in the technology sector
• Strong project management background and expertise
