Our client is a billion dollar food manufacturer that is experiencing tremendous growth in their private label business. Through consolidation of responsibilities, they are seeking a Customer Packaging Development Specialist. This position will ensure regulatory compliance with all of their customer labels and shipping containers. Excellent opportunity for a detail oriented professional seeking additional skills and exposure in the food industry.

Responsibilities: As the Packaging Specialist, you will interface with the customer base, design firms, label suppliers and company packaging department to ensure all regulatory compliance is strictly adhered to for all packaging. This position is highly detail oriented and requires strong record keeping skills. You will also interface with the company sales and marketing teams and the FDA/USDA to keep current on the changing regulatory requirements and consumer trends. This position is a critical step in the company’s regulatory exposure in the marketplace.

Compensation: Market Competitive with excellent benefits. No relocation is provide so local candidates from the great Chicagoland area will only be considered.

Job Requirements 

BS degree in food related field with at least 2+ years in a quality or regulatory position within the food manufacturing industry. Must be highly detailed oriented and capable of managing multiple projects at once. Must have excellent communication skills both written and orally. Must show proficiency in the ability to locate, interpret and apply labeling regulations.
