LOAD CONTROL SUPERVISOR

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

Maintain and operate the 24x7 gas SCADA monitoring program across a five state operating area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Supervise the gas/load control function for the company's natural gas business including coordinating, scheduling and supervising front-line employees.
• Oversee the day-to-day supervision of the gas load control function.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of a SCADA system including: process databases, HMI, and other associated applications, servers, workstations, and control rooms.
• Develop and maintain system interfaces, business data processes and reporting.
• Provide critical data links to other departments, systems and customers to measure usage.
• Provide continuous monitoring of critical locations, responding to system alarms and provide remedial actions/notifications.
• Work closely with Compliance and Engineering to comply with all DOT/PSC rules and regulations as well as develop new and maintain/enhance existing compliance processes.
• Effectively prepare and present both written and verbal technical information.

EXPERIENCE: 

• Background in SCADA/DCS/ICS or Gas Control preferred.
• Background in IT or Engineering preferred.
• Background in computer programming preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience and proven ability to manage employees.
• Natural gas operations background preferred.
• Strong project management experience & skill.

EDUCATION: 

*         Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field preferred.  Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• SCADA system elements and operation
• Network communications and operation
• Computer programming
• Gas distribution and transmission systems
• Gas measurement and gas hydraulics
• Gas operations
• Financial management and budgetary skills, planning and forecasting skills
• Project management
