Job Description
Under the direction of the District HR Generalist, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining staffing levels, with qualified individuals, to fill open positions in the unit. Activities include a wide variety of recruiting and administrative support services such as: maintaining and tracking the pre-employment process, talent sourcing, placing ads, attending job fairs, conducting telephone interviews, administering the criminal background check and drug screen process and other administrative and recruiting tasks. The incumbent will be called upon to provide HR related information to managers and associates by email, fax or phone. Confidentiality and a commitment to excellent customer service are required on a daily basis.

Job Requirements
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Identify, source, attract, and screen diverse, high performance industry talent
• Develop and execute well-rounded sourcing strategies utilizing employee referrals, directory and association mining/networking, on-line/print postings, deep web searches, internal candidate databases and other sources
• Interviews applicants to maintain staffing requirements
• Schedules applicants for new hire training
• Represents SEARS at job fairs and other recruitment events to increase diverse applicant flow
• Performs all tasks related to the on-boarding and off-boarding of associates on payroll
• Acts as the primary liaison between hiring supervisors, applicants, third party vendors
• Audits data in areas of responsibility to identify issues that need to be brought to the attention of HR management and appropriate unit management to drive improvement and accountability
• Develops and introduces revisions to existing processes in an effort to constantly improve the efficiency of the recruiting efforts
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all HR data and information obtained during course of employment
• Provides timely and courteous internal customer service to associates and managers, and communicates effectively with associates, applicants, and managers
• May assist with assigned projects, coordination of various events and special assignments within the HR Department and the unit
• Develops and distributes reports to appropriate levels of management, to show compliance
• Performs routine administrative tasks including copying and faxing documents and file maintenance
• Performs other duties as neededRequired Skills:
• High school diploma: college degree preferred
• 2-3 years non-exempt recruiting experience required
• Highly proficient with MS Office software required
• Strong attention to detail/high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational/prioritization skills
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills and follow up
• Ability to establish and manage shifting priorities, multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Able to thrive in a high energy, fast paced environment
• Ability to exercise judgment and/or discretion in making independent decisions
• Maintains a positive & professional attitude/demeanor
• Maintains confidentiality at all timesPreferred Skills:
• Prior experience working in an HR environment of a mid/large size organization
• Prior recruitment assistant experience
• Two years of HR policy administration desired.
• Unemployment claim administration experience desired.
• Previous PeopleSoft software experience preferred.
