3rd Shift Inspection Auditor, 11PM-7AM
Description
The Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Auditor inspects customer-produced assemblies and components usually at the customer’s facility. The PDI Auditor verifies customer specifications using the proper inspection techniques and equipment, in an accurate, efficient and professional manner.• Inspect or perform audits on engines and other assemblies or components, using checklists and blueprints • Use measuring, gaging, visual, or other inspection techniques in determining conformance to engineering specifications • Perform visual inspection of painted surfaces, surface defects, cleanliness, and packaging • Document and report non-conformances to specifications using computerized quality documentation system • Perform minor repairs to engines and other assemblies or components when instructed • Route engines and other assemblies or components to repair areas when required • Communicate any occurrence of repeat defects to the customer and fellow team members • Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES • Comprehension-level knowledge, and ability to interpret assembly- and component drawings • Demonstrated ability in visualizing how different components fit- and function together, based on blueprint information • Comprehension-level knowledge and understanding of visual inspection techniques • Demonstrated ability in using small hand and power tools used in a manufacturing setting • Operating-level proficiency using computer software programs • Proven record attention to detail and ability to work independently • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication REQUIRED EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE • Possess an earned high school diploma, or GEDVolt has been serving some of the nation's strongest companies for over 60 years.
